A few years ago, a dear family friend who was down-sizing her life, gave me some
things she thought I might want. Among the mementos was a piece of typing paper
folded in half with some stick figures, flowers and a big round sun drawn in pencil
on the front. A toothpick with an American flag was attached and on the inside it
said, “Happy 4th of July.” I made it for her when she came to our house for a summer
barbecue. I was 5 and she had saved that funny little card all these years.
As you can see, my passion for paper crafts began at an early age and I was lucky
enough to have a wise and creative mother who taught me how much people appreciate
special hand-crafted gifts.
I have been designing and making greeting cards and invitations for friends and
family for over 15 years. I started Laurel Tree Designs in 2002 in order to provide
others with the opportunity to give distinctive, elegant and affordable invitations
and greeting cards for all occasions.
I love what I do and my goal is to create beautiful, custom artwork for clients
to share with friends and loved ones.
